20-04-2006 Betfair to receive approval to operate on Victorian racing

In the wake of the move of Robert Nason to TabCorp, Racing Victoria is taking another look at the applications from interstate corporate bookmakers and offshore operators under the racing fields legislation.

Racing Victoria Chairman Graham Duff said the board will have an open mind and look "at all aspects, including the matter of product fees for the interstate operators and betting exchanges operating on Victorian racing."
