20-03-2007 Vietnam to legalize football betting

Ladbrokes and Singapore Pools will meet with Vietnamese officials to discuss legalizing football betting in Vietnam. According to auditing firm Deloitte Touche, Vietnamese spent $1 billion last year on illegal football betting.

In the Philippines, the Philippine Basketball Association has introduced Hula Hoops, a new betting game where punters can win as much as P55,000 for as little as a P10 bet.

In Australia, Tabcorp is expected to reveal details of a $250 million share buyback as well as details of the exit payment to fomer CEO Matthew Slatter as early as next week.
