19-12-2006 BetBrokers results expected to be in line with market expectations

The UK’s first retail and wholesale brokerage and clearing house for the sports betting industry serves about 520 retail clients and over 100 wholesale counterparties. The average size of bets now stands at £1,200, up from approximately £160 in October 2005 and £1,100 in July 2006.

Chairman and Chief Executive Wayne Lochner said: "Since admission to AIM in November 2006, we have attracted a significant number of new clients to our unique offering and are further developing the business in accordance with the strategy set out at the time of admission. I am positive that the Company will meet market expectations and the Board looks forward to updating shareholders at the maiden Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2006."

Elsewhere, Totesport has relaunched its revamped website using Orbis OpenBet's ‘One Account, One Wallet’ solution to power and enhance its online and telephone betting presence. Totesport EGaming and Marketing Director Keith Oliver commented: "The new system is all about giving our customers an enhanced betting experience and with the single account across our remote betting platform, we are confident we can meet our objectives."
