The online gambling group closed the day at 25.75p as investors run scared questioning whether the company would survive a financial settlement with the US authorities. Media reports suggested earlier last week PartyGaming could be looking at returning the entire profits made in America before October 2006.
Partygaming floated at 122.75p on June 2005 and peaked at 176p two months later.
In other news, Ladbrokes suffered a six figure loss on Sunday when Limerick hit five goals past Waterford in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final. The UK bookmaker took several really large bets on Limerick at 7/2. Spokesman Kevin Egan described the victory of the Shannonsiders as the worst day of the summer for the firm.
