13-12-2004 Betdaq breaks into the Chinese market

The Irish-based betting exchange, backed by financier Dermot Desmond, has set up a site called Asia Betting Exchange in the former Portuguese colony of Macau.

The site is a joint venture between Global Betting Exchange, Betdaq's parent company, and the Hong Kong-based Chinese government's International Trust and Investment Corporation.

Asia Betting Exchange is being marketed to bettors in mainland China and in other Asian countries as a gateway to Betdaq system.
