13-08-2007 DoJ to claim back the profits made by PartyPoker and 888 in the US

According to This is Money, PartyGaming and 888 Holdings, which are negotiating financial settlements with the US Department of Justice, could be asked to return the entire profits made by their US operations before October 2006. Nearly $900m forPartyGaming and $120m for 888.

While sources close to both online gaming companies said neither would be prepared to return such amounts, a non better specified insider told This is Money that it has been suggested that the DoJ pursues the founders, who in the case of PartyGaming still own large stakes in the company after taking several hundreds of millions in dividends.
