13-02-2007 The seizure of NETeller funds has worked against Nevada sports books

According to Pinnacle Sports, one of the reasons why Las Vegas sports books failed to set a new record over this year's Super Bowl handle was because many sports bettors had their funds tied-up with NETeller.

Another reason was the fact that there was only one set of numbers available, while the serious offshore sports bettors are generally looking to middle a game or to scalp numbers using a combination of online bookmakers and Nevada sports books.

"With just one set of numbers available – Nevada sports books – these bettors didn’t have the options they normally had. Thus they mostly just passed the game," an unnamed official at Pinnacle Sports told Gaming Today.
