11-01-2007 Betfair to launch a constitutional challenge against Western Australia legislation

Western Australia can expect Betfair to launch a constitutional challenge to the High Court as soon as the legislation banning WA punters from wagering with betting exchanges is proclaimed a law. The Department of racing advised Racing and Wagering WA to meet with Betfair to discuss the introduction of a product fee in return for the permission to use WA race fields.
