09-08-2007 ATP launches investigation into suspicious betting

The Association of Tennis Professionals promised to use all means available to investigate suspicious betting on the Polish Open match involving Nikolay Davydenko and Martin Vassallo Arguello.

The ATP is understood to have approached the British Horseracing Authority to investigate the unusual betting patterns. "It is a body with experience in this area and we are keen to utilise that experience to help us with this investigation," commented a spokesperson for the ATP.
