06-02-2008 Skybet reports growth in internet sports betting

Skybet revenues increased 20% to 24 million pounds for the second half of 2007. An increase in internet betting and consolidation of 365 Media Group were chiefly responsible for the improvement according to Chief Executive Jeremy Darroch.

365 Media Group, formerly ukbetting plc, was acquired by BskyB in January 2007. The company operated the UK's leading network of sports content sites, including Sportinglife.com, TEAMtalk and Bettinglife.com, as well as odds comparison site Oddschecker and betting sites ukbetting and totalbet, which were later merged into Skybet.
