03-09-2007 German court rules in favour of Bwin advertising with soccer team

The administrative court in Stuttgart overturned an earlier decision of the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg which prohibited the online bookmaker from advertising on the VFB Stuttgart team apparel.

In 2006, after the state of Saxony banned Bwin from taking bets in Germany, the Austrian bookmaker supplied its sponsored teams Werder Bremen and 1860 Munich with team jerseys boasting the words "We win!" instead of the Bwin logo.
