02-11-2007 Skybet reports good growth in internet sports betting

The BSkyB's betting division announced a 10 per cent increase in first quarter revenue to £11 million, benefiting from consolidation of the 365 Media Group.

The satellite broadcaster acquired the 365 Media Group, including UKbetting, Totalbet, Goldbet, OddsChecker and a portfolio of sports content sites such as SportingLife and BettingZone, at the end of 2006.

UKbetting and Totalbet were later merged into Skybet, while Goldbet continues to run separately and recently launched GoldbetVIP, an Asian Handicap betting site.
