Mangas Gaming acquires Bet-at-Home and Expekt |
The parent company of Betclic acquired the online betting and gaming operations of Expekt.com for
a total consideration believed to be between EUR 110m and EUR 125m as well as the controlling stake in Bet-at-Home.com from founders Franz Omer and Jochen Dickinger, with the launch of a
public offer to acquire the shares held by the minority shareholders for a consideration of EUR 11.2 per share.
Following the two acquisitions, Mangas Gaming, which is jointly owned by the former Endemol France chairman Stéphane Courbit and Société des Bains de Mer, the owner of casinos and hotels in Monaco, enters the top 5 online sports betting operators in Europe, with over 4 million registered clients and gross revenues expected to reach the EUR 200 million mark in 2009.
