January 2010 players complaints |
|
In recent weeks slow-pays which have been reported to Bookmakers Review include 1Bet2Bet (resolved), BetAfterBet (multiple players), BetBoo (resolved), Hollywood Sportsbook (bad cheque) , Sportsbetting.com (resolved), Stryyke (multiple players, some eventually got paid), Sunderlands (they didn't inform players of the launch of the new site, then ignored player's emails asking to get paid) and Vierklee, who had the courage to claim they could not answer a player's requests for information about a payment went missing in November 2009 because the player had chose to not receive emails from the bookmaker (a setting generally used to stop promotional emails, not to stop answers about missing payments). Vierklee is now working with the player to trace the payment. Nevertheless the Austrian bookmaker is downgraded to 2.5- (2.5). 1Bet2Bet rating coverage is resumed at 2.5-. Sunderlands rating coverage is resumed at 2.5-. While some players reported payments, Stryyke has in our opinion past the point of no-return considering that their affiliate manager just a day after she told BMR how better Stryyke was doing with just minor payment delays (no matter we were asking her about a 4 months slow-pay) she either got fired or left the company. The bookmaker's manager, who less than six months ago seemed to be keen to set things straight “for the good of the industry”, is nowhere to be found and ignoring our emails altogether. Elsewhere, a customer of BetLads has been denied a bonus for two different promotions, one in December 2009 regarding a correct score and one in January where Betlads offered to pay an extra for each goal scored. At the time of writing BetLads ignored both the player and BMR's emails, while parent company Entraction offered to look into the case.
BMR has also received a report from a Turkish customer of Betsson who apparently had a payment sent to his bank either confiscated or rejected. The Betsson customer claimed that after this incident the bookmaker closed his account and stopped communicating. Date published: 04 February 2010 Related rating updates |
