EGR revealed that parent company Bouygues has taken over the management of the site after major disagreements with SPS Betting, the site's operator. The industrial group is believed to be either in discussions to sell the business or possibly just close it down.
In separate news, Bookmakers Review had in 2009 a number of betting sites under review and while for most of them we could eventually derive a rating or we are still working on it, some simply disappeared. These include betting exchange Winitoo, Greekbet, but also Australian bookmaker Simon Beasley, who has been disqualified for four years after he pleaded guilty of failing to record betting transactions totaling over A million in the period between April 2006 and November 2008.
